Pratik Shah Receives Chancellor’s Award for Distinguished Mentoring

Pratik Shah, PhD, Professor at the University of California, Irvine, received the 2025 Chancellor’s Award for Distinguished Mentoring of Undergraduate Research.
The award recognizes excellence in mentorship and the dedication of faculty and research mentors to fostering scholarly development, research independence, and professional growth among emerging scientists and engineers. This recognition highlights Professor Shah’s mentorship of trainees and he next generation of researchers across biomedical engineering, artificial intelligence, pathology, and clinical translational science.
The recognition also reflects the accomplishments of Prof. Shah Lab’s student researchers, including two UROP fellows who received fellowship awards in support of their research. Their achievements highlight the lab’s commitment to creating meaningful research opportunities and mentoring emerging scholars.
